Thanks for the comments all great points. I was intrigued by this what if idea the most as well, it's definitely the most challenging. Looking forward to developing this idea during this process and trying to avoid a contrived resolution. Thanks again for your thoughts!

I really like your first idea! It has a very clear sense of direction in which the character may receive the scholarship by accident and because of some kind of pressure decides to attend and must pretend he also has powers when he doesn't. I am slightly unclear/curious if this is a world in where academies like this are commonplace or this is a secret academy like hogwarts. I would suggest you make it clearer just how unusual being accepted by a place like this is in the world of your story. Great job!

Thanks, for the feedback. This was kind of the last idea I came up with, so it was the least developed, but it does seem to be the most interesting and challenging...so I guess I'll see where it goes!

The first idea is great it got me thinking of his abilities now and will they come back to ask you to apply. Second chances are always great... Like others - What is his ability and why was he selected?

Thanks. I like the first idea as well, I think it's the most challenging, make into a short but that's part of the fun I guess. The ability if there is one is the challenge and figuring out how that's revealed.

I like the secret academy and the twist that the person didn't apply. I brings in a sense of mysterious tension that makes you want to learn more.

Thanks, yes I'm thinking its a secret academy but someone definitely applied for him or was directing him to go there. Not sure where it will go yet, but looking forward to the process here.

Omg, the first idea? That immediately made me excited to see where it could go. Does this person actually have powers? Why did they get in? What kind of wild times are they going to be thrown into without even meaning to? There's so much room for playful mischief here! I find myself wondering not only why they were accepted, but a lot more concerning how the rest of society views this school. Is it secret or well known? Is it viewed as pompous--like an Ivy League school--or would this world view it as taboo, lower-class, or worse? I think, in addition to that, fleshing out exactly what superpowers we're talking about would be good too--especially being sure to define limitations and drawbacks, as nothing makes a plot feel less earned than constant deus ex machina. Well done with this What If, though! The mystery of "Why did they get chosen?" just makes me wildly curious to find out more!
