I love the cigarette idea and to me it has so much room for possibility and feels like something totally unseen before. I am confused by why and how this cig falls in love but am curious to find out. Maybe the girl also learns something too! Awesome work with illustrations too!

Love the first idea! I'm already wondering, "How does this end?" Can the cigarette change it's nature? Can the girl change her nature? I know some of the other commenters have already touched on what this scenario could represent . . . Is this a metaphor for a toxic relationship? A forbidden love? Addiction? The number of possibilities speaks to the power of this "What if . . . ?" Also . . . Great Character Design!

Hello!!
I love the maid idea, it remembers a little bit of paperman with the paper planes.
what is the maid dream? why is she stuck there?
the things I would say are unclear is she an old lady? a younger woman? the dreams could be different depending of the age, maybe. I love this idea, nice work!!

Hello Team: Pietro, this is Colin Cameron from team: Bro HamCam. Personally, my favorite one of your What if Ideas was your first one: What if a cigarette fell in love with a girl only to discover that he could be harmful to her? This is my favorite because to me it is a great metaphor for someone that is in love with someone but realizes that they are too toxic of a person to be with them, so they have to let them go for the better good of that person. This makes me wonder more about whether or not people are cognizant of the impact they have on their partners or someone they want to ask out and whether or not they take this into consideration when they ask them out or are in a long-lasting relationship with said person. Nothing was unclear to me, and I love the artwork for the first What if statement.

First off, your drawing style is very powerful & captivating. It really drew me in, so good job on that! I loved the idea of the towels coming to life, to convince the maid to leave his job to follow his dreams. You were able to bring so much emotion into that image. It was obvious that this person has dreams to follow. Will everyone be able to see the towels come o life? If so, they could leave a mess, and get him in trouble, causing him to rethink his plans for life. Look forward to seeing your video ideas unfold. Kind regards from Hawaii #4Tissimo =)

Great imagination, Pietro! I've never heard something like your first what if: a story from the POV of a cigarette, a cigarette who questions himself: this is deep a provocative. We will start loving that cigarette, hoping he will survive and not be burnt or thrown away... but he'is an harmful thing! Goo job!

I love the potential "What if...??" question #1 brings to the table because it can explore the theme of toxic relationships and also bring in conversations about substance abuse. I wonder how the cigarette would fall in love with the girl and how their relationship would develop throughout the story. Since a cigarette is meant to be smoked once and thrown away, maybe you can instead make a pack of cigarettes be the one to fall in love with the girl and progressively as she smokes through the pack show how the cigarette box falls for the girl. Something that was unclear to me was how the cigarette could fall in love with the girl? Does the cigarette have a soul? Is it a magic cigarette? Again, I see a lot of potential in this idea and I'm very interested to see where you take this!

I really liked all your what if ideas but I thought the first one was very interesting. The cigarette has a soul and has a real dilemma, which I find very creative and interesting. It makes me wonder how the cigarette could come to life and how it would struggle with what to do. The only thing that might be unclear is does the girl love the cigarette too, and how does the cigarette develop such a soul? Really great!

Oh wow love your ideas!! The music is a great addition! Love all of them. For a shortfilm I can really invision the towels one the best, it would be so visually appealing. But the cigarette one is so interesting! Like how does the cigarette know it will harm her? Can they read the warnings on the packaging? Will it take the rist and die when being smoked?

Hi there! Absolutely love the first idea - I think this concept of a 'forbidden' kind of love is always such a compelling story and these themes of wanting what we shouldn't have, self realization, etc. are powerful. It makes me wonder if the woman loves the cigarette back, is she resisting it, or the one encouraging it? I would like some clarity on the life of the cigarette and the woman and if this a random encounter or if she's been smoking for a long time. This idea is super unique and would love to see it come to fruition! :)

hey there Pietro Tema, First of I really enjoyed your drawings and the colors, it helped me get in the moof of the story you want to tell; My favorite What if Idea is the one where the towels come to life, because I feel like they are part of the day to day job for this maid, however, animal sculptures are always my favorite part of hotels and probably is also the case for this character, so they could because so what imaginary friends he talks to, of he talks to himself as he makes them, and that intrigues me a lot, I feel its a little magical and relatable. It is unclear how this sculptures come to life, do they have personalities of their own in this story, is it real or in his imagination? do they talk or how do they help him realize that he had a bigger dream to pursue? Finally, it could help is maybe we know this character dream job from the start and state that he doesn't like his current job, maybe he is an artist and he enjoys so much making this towel animals that this is how he knows he should pursue that? I am very excited to see what you come up for the next step of this story!

I like the cigarette and the towel ideas! Either would have really awesome story arcs! For the cigarette idea, I'm curious how he would stay "alive" and not be lit and burned into ash? Would he be smoked up or would he be a character that lingers around and pass on the cigarette to the character? For the hotel maid idea, would his dreams be related to making animal sculptures or something else? It would make total sense of it was the animal sculptures he create since it would keep the theme cohesive. I would be curious to see how the other characters, perhaps his managers, react? Would they be supportive of his animal sculpture since it increases customer satisfaction? Would they find it stupid and pointless? Does he have coworkers or does he work alone for the entire hotel, and if he does, are they supportive of him?

1. I like the last one the most, I think it could be very rich visually playing with the shapes of the animal towels and how they inhabit the space they live in. For me it is confusing why they care specifically for this girl, why is their dream important for them?. It could be helpful if her dream is related to the towels, like setting them free, or giving them another purpose.

. I wonder if she is 20, 40, 60 I wonder about her dream and how the towels becomes a life.

Hi there, Write for Animation Team!! Awesome ideas!! I found the hotel towel idea most appealing for its hopeful message and potential for the animation medium. I was wondering what made the towel animals come to life and what his dream is? Is it connected in anyway? Also, can't wait to see how the animal towels try to convince the hotel maid-- thinking a mix of comedy and heartwarming. Whichever story you choose to develop, good luck! Looking forward to it!

My favorite idea is the hotel towel ones, it makes me wonder how they will try to get their message across. One thing that's unclear is if they can talk or if they're limited to just visuals and motions (I would personally prefer the latter).

The two that stood out to me were the Girl and the Cigarette, and the Hotel Towels.
For the girl, how would she notice the cigarette? Is she aware of what smoking does, or no? How would the cigarette show its affections to the girl?

For the Towels, what methods would they use to communicate with the human? What is the human's dream? How did the towels come to life? How can the towels move around without people - or the Manager/ Owner of the hotel - noticing??

Hi! I really loved the second idea because I can imagine a simple yet profoundly touching story. Because the girl in your drawing is so young it makes me wonder what will give her the presence of mind to understand her important role in the scenario. I wonder how she realizes she can make a difference, and how it plays out. Very niceI (BTW this is crazy but I also thought of a folded towel story idea!!! I guess the 12th monkey thing is really true....!)

I really like these ideas, especially the last ones with the hotel towel sculptures convincing the maid to leave his job and follow his dream! What is his dream? Will he make it? Will the towels go too? I also likes the second one with the hummingbird and girl. However, it was unclear if the girl had the eggs or if the girl was the only the bird could get to help them for some reason. And why did the hummingbird lose their eggs? It’s a really good idea with lots of great potential though!

I really like all the ideas. My favorite one though would be the humming bird and the little girl. It sounds like the start of a grand adventure. Can the hummingbird talk? How does it express what it needs?

I really liked the first idea, it feels very deep and interesting to see how it would play out. I only find it a bit confusing why a cigarette would fall in love with a human? Was the cigarette a human in a past life? I also loved the last one about the hotel maid, I feel it could be very relatable to many people as many experience the feeling of wanting to leave their jobs and explore better jobs or opportunities. Other than the awesome ideas, I have to also compliment your artwork, it is amazing and beautiful.

I also liked the one about the girl and the bird, just love the drawing because it made me imagined a great story between the girl and the bird. Great What ifs!
