HOW IT WORKS
This 8 step program can be done asynchronously in ~40 hours. You can work through as much of the program as you'd like. View our one sheet.

Each step in the program guides you towards creating a final storyreel that mimics Pixar’s process.

EDITING
  • No subject matter experience required & minimal prep (get started in 1 hour)
    • Orientation provided for teachers and students
  • Act as a coach for your students in crafting their unique stories
  • At each step, you can review/evaluate students’ work via a teacher dashboard
EDUCATOR ROLE
LEARN
Students follow self paced content taught by professionals.
CREATE
Students create and upload a work-in-progress deliverable to a community gallery.
DISCUSS
Students give and receive ongoing peer feedback on their work.

At the end of this process you can submit to one of our three annual global exhibitions (Sept/Dec/May).

Each of these steps follows the same pattern

HOW TO GET STARTED
  • We provide everything you'll need.
  • Students create a Storyreel by combining simple drawings with voice over. 
  • Drawing: Paper and pencil + camera or free drawing software (provided)
  • Video Editing: Free browser based editor is provided

STANDARDS ALIGNMENT
Our program aligns with many ELA standards. It is commonly used in English, CTE, Writing and Media Arts classes. It also works as an amazing enrichment and extracurricular program.
