I absolutely love this! Amazing amazing amazing work guys! First I love the setting, it's a really whimsical yet metaphorical idea to create this island of inflatable people and things. First, it represents a safe child-like space such as a bouncy house, a place where people will never face danger or pain. Second, it represents how frail this illusion of safety is, because balloons and inflatable things are actually extremely fragile. Third, inflatable things usually have an inevitable end, they wear with time and slowly deflate, representing how death is inevitable and we all have to face death and grief. The story is also very moving, there are genuinely scary and emotional moments, such as Inflatable Girl opening her valve, patches sacrificing himself and the father being brought back to life. Your team's awareness of your theme, character and story spine was what granted you guys this emotional power in your film!

However there are some things I'd ask you to take a look at, first is your character's personality. Considering that Inflatable's girl flaw is presented as avoiding people it seems she would have more trouble asking someone to join her in quest. It also seems like it would've been better to define the frailty and fear as Inflatable Girl's main flaws as it better relates to the metaphor of the inflatable world, her grief regarding her mother and the plot twist regarding her father! Imagine if everyone in the island was afraid of the outside and Inflatable Girl more than anyone, even afraid of inflatable cacti, because her mother died from going out the island! I would also take time to explore two other characters during the course of your story, patches and the mom, as it is very important to us to understand why Inflatable girl's mom died and why patches would sacrifice himself. Also, one thing that was unclear to me was who exactly were the holder's of the elixir in relation to the inflatable people? Were they also inflatable or were they something else? And why do they give the elixir away?

However, even with these little issues it's an amazing project you should be very very proud of!
