Oh MY! This was so great!! I loved the visuals but especially the sound and the voices!!, they added so much deep and character to the story, definitely great work you have here. Every character has their own personality and I so fun to hear this family telling stories. My team and I also did a looong script so we decided only to take act 1 too, but it never occurred to us, this kind of editing, was so unique and cool, I love seeing the video from being acting all the story. At some point, I got a little bit lost in the story because of all of the craziness it was happening but is also part of how children make stories. I agree with Gabriel that I would like to see from the beginning the conflict between Sofi and Roi, for us to see a deeper the development of the character.
I would love to see your animatic finished since your drawings look very good! and the timing was great too immediately loved the character of Sofi and her brightness.

Hey 4tissimo team!!! This story is extremely endearing and definitely the best produced work I saw so far! The undisputed best work you guys did was regarding character and the family as a character. Every individual member had a personality that added a new sort of vibe and creativity to the story, which was very endearing to see. I also can't quite pin point the techniques you used but the family dynamic was very clear through your dialogue and contributed immensely to the wholesome warm vibe of your film! The acting also played a big part in both of these qualities, all your actors managed to capture the energy of each line and the role of this family member within the story and their household!

There was nothing unclear to me, but there is one suggestion I'd like to make! The story feels like it lacks a bit of direction, the flow of crazy creativity and endearing family moments kept me engaged but not the story per se. At first, the conflict seems to be putting Nico to sleep, but that truly is more of a set-up for the rest of the story to unfold. What seems to be the conflict later is Jaye not feeling like he can participate, or Roi and Sofi fighting for protagonism. I feel like both of this could be drive the story forward while still maintaining this heart warming set-up of this crazy bed time story, but in choosing either, the conflict would have to be introduced and developed from the start. For instance, Jaye not making an appearance in the story should be referenced prior Jaye's line, his family could ask that he participate and he couldn't decide not to, and in the depictions of the stories, be represented as a background character that only watches the action from afar even if he wants to participate. If Roi and Sofi were to be the focus, then from the start you should show this dispute between them, Roi trying to be the hero while Sofi is the hero effortlessly alongside him, Roi's protagonism ultimately brings the story down, and the reason why Sofi succeeded in being a hero is because she was trying to work with everyone else instead of just trying to be the main character. Another idea would be to add some sort of flaw or journey to the mother character as she is very endearing but also a little bit one-note character. Giving the mother a flaw such as anger, or fear, or even need to sleep, would make her an even more interesting character within an even more interesting story. But again, these are suggestions and your films is already great as is! Amazing work!

Congratulations to your team! I really enjoy your team’s story idea and art style. We read to our little one, and I love the idea of the story getting carried away. It reminds me of the story Goodnight Opus by Berkeley Breathed. :) I can’t wait to see your finished story reel!

Hello Team 4tissimo!! I See Talent Here! I must say In the Beginning I was Blown away for how good all looked! You got some Good skills on the team!I'm really impressed. For that Beautiful Work. I also really really loved the idea of a family gathering to imagine stories together. I wished I got to do more of that with my family as kid too ;) You can tell there's so much potential on between your hands! The pity here is that after the first few minutes, there's no more draw storyboard/ animatic which would make the story much more appealing to follow :( I got a bit lost reading the script and listening to all the voices, Which btw were pretty real and accurate !! So don't you worry, it seems like it's been a good work on team. Kudos to All the voice makers on the team, Well to the ALL THE TEAM!! Please keep working, Dreaming and One day you'll see your own stories on the big screen. From one storyteller to another, Good Work!!

Ghahahack—thank you so much! Yeah, it certainly is too bad that the drawings end so fast—especially considering we've got pretty much half of the drawings finished—now it's just about adding our parts together and editing it all on, so once we do that, we'll be updating this with a (more) finished version.

This was very entertaining and I especially loved the beginning question about “Once upon a time…” There is something really special about your story, the overall feel of it is delightfully cheerful :-). The "All is not digested!" line made me laugh! I think you all have such artistry and story telling skills, and I would love to watch your future productions! Blessings to all of you 4tissimo!

Thank you so, so much! It's been a LOT of fun. Everyone in the program has produced amazing works that've been massively inspiring and endlessly entertaining. The only thing is that, a part of me—no—all of me wishes you could see the unblurred video playing behind the script, as it's my brother acting out every single scene in the story (to help us coordinate storyboards and figure out how to frame things)—maybe one day. Even after we finish this up and add all of the pictures, I still think the Skye-cut will be superior.

A Stellar Bedtime Story

The Stellar Family get together to tell baby Nico a SIMPLE bedtime story... or is it?

Follow along with the script if you'd like, but it is displayed on-screen when necessary, too-- how handy!
