I love both the concept and the message of your story as well as the way you chose to present it! With it's environmentally conscious moral, it reminded me of Dr. Seuss' "The Lorax." In this case, though, your character, Lenny, speaks "with' the trees, instead of "for" the trees. I also like how only Lenny can hear the forest singing. That reminds me of "Horton Hears a Who." Can you tell I have a thing for Dr. Seuss? LOL! Anyway, what I find great about this is that it serves as a perfect metaphor for how those who are sensitive to environmental concerns often find that others seem blind, or deaf, as the case may be, to what seems obvious or loud and clear to them. Sometimes it is necessary to "touch" others (make an emotional connection with them, and communicate with them), as Lenny does, in order to get them to see what you see, and hear what you hear. Nice touches that make your story unique. Another thing I think sets your story apart from other environmental cautionary tales is that it shows that technology isn't necessarily the problem. Technology (drones, irrigation, viaducts) can actually be part of the solution. It tickles me to think of an army of drones, each representing someone who cares, delivering water to a thirsty rain forest. As for your storytelling approach, I think it was a good call to tell your story primarily through images with no dialogue. The message of the story is one you really have to feel, and words would just detract from the emotional impact. The music, on the other hand, enhances the experience. Nice choice of music, by the way! I hope your submission is considered for an award. Congratulations on completing your Final Submission for the Story Xperiential!

NiceI love it! Beautiful and ecological history. Technology (drones) helping Nature (the forest) transporting water. (Learn amazon!) And very good when Lenny touches the others to transmit the message. Very good for the drawings and the animatics! Congratulations

He speaks for the trees!! I wish there were more people like Lenny in our world. This story made actually tear up. It's a very recent and real topic and I would love to have people see that on the big screen. It's something I'm trying to comprehend daily. We're destroying this world for years now, and we have plenty of wake-up calls, yet everyone still is fast asleep. Our days are counted..
Great and meaningful choice of colours and sound/ melody and a beautiful unique artstyle. I hope some studio sees that and your Team gets to realise this project. It's such an important topic. Good luck for the future Team UGS.
Thank you 🌿

The music and simple animations really bring the story to life. Being able to tell the story without narration and dialogue is great! Adds a different dimension to it!

This story was very well edited and had a really clear message and moral. If anything, I'd love to learn more about what left the forest in the state it's in beyond just kids having toys. I think perhaps some conflict between the characters driving them to the forest could add some heat to the story-- maybe the parents tried fixing the trees but didn't listen to the voice like Lenny can, for example. Good work

Excellent suggestions John-Charles! I think if I get to develop this story in a longer format I will definitely take those ideas in consideration!

I loved the art style! It gave me nostalgia for things like "Calvin and Hobbes" and "Bones"! I really loved all the progressive shots with story telling laced in them, and the swelling music in the background. It really set the tone for the story and drew me in! I appreciated how the story brought the characters together in the end and made them a real community with empathy. Great story and phenomenal concept! Keep up the great work, I'd love to see more from you in the future!
