Lumi's Story Spine
1. Once upon a time, there was a brother and sister who loved working together and they liked to create and invent things. 2. Every day they worked as a team to invent lots of different machinery. 3. Until one day, her brother disappears. 4. Because of that, Lumi starts her search for her brother. Initially BOBA leads her to a portal into another dimension, but begins to malfunction while entering. 5. Because of that, she feels severe loneliness and dependency without her brother. Lost in the other dimension, she accidentally breaks BOBA out of frustration. 6. Because of that, she finds a crystal within BOBA that it was using to track her brother. With the crystal, a newfound determination, and a couple of misfit friends she found along the way, Lumi ventures back out into the wilds of this weird dimension in search of her brother once more. 7. Until finally, Lumi finds her brother but he doesn't want to leave with her. He has already built a life for himself in the other dimension. Lumi becomes overwhelmingly upset and doesn't understand what she is supposed to do without her brother. She eventually realizes that on her journey to find her brother, she found herself a family all on her own. 8. And ever since then, she realizes how to be self-reliant and resilient. She may not have her brother anymore but she now has a family that she built on her own.
Peter: Joe Ranft as my inspiration to tell stories and multiple artists whose artwork I used for reference in coming up for ideas for this story. Thanks Box Lunch retail store where I bought the Steampunk Nautilus Explorer Submarine which inspired our submarine in the story. I want to thank Cindy Phung for taking over when I couldn't and keeping us in check and being an all around artist, production coordinator, editor, voice actor. We, seriously, could not have done this without her.
Cindy: I want to thank my incredible team for pushing through with me on this project and giving it their all. We all did an amazing job even during our most busiest times. I also want to thank everyone that kindly gave us really great comments and critiques to our submissions. We are looking forward to going back on this project to finesse it and make it better! Lastly, I want to thank all the storyboard artists inspired me to create strong stories through my work. Some amazing artists I am inspired by are Marie Lum, Kiana Mai, Inbal Breda, and so many more!
Keo: I'd like to thank the amazing artists and storytellers I've had the pleasure to work on this project with. Cindy, Dean and P2, it's been such an amazing ride to be able to tell this story with you. Your ideas and knowledge gave me so much to be inspired by, and I look forward to when our creative journeys cross again! I'd also like to shout out my friends and family for their constant support in my creative development as an artist and a storyteller!
