We loved the gentle but clear illustrations and the careful camera work- Slow panning and zooming in on different parts of one illustration while clearly telling the narrative is an effective way to maximize images and keep the audience invested. The eye will follow a moving target! In our classroom we couldn't hear the sound that well but even with muffled sound, there was definitely a story involving people and colors and finding a mom and her partner and living happily ever after. Without stating a moral of the story---we saw inferences to eliminating color bias (racism), about losing and finding one's family and about how friends and companions can help on the search. LAstly we thought the colors used were beautiful and satisfying to view juxtaposed against the monotones of Black white and grey.
Feedback will appear below after our team moderates them.
