This is a story about two friends, Benny and Maya, and as Maya grows up and starts to move on, Benny starts his discovery of how he might not be as real as he thought he was, but is in fact a made up friend based off of Maya’s dead childhood friend Ben. Now he tries to figure out how he can continue to live on when Maya is trying to move on from Ben and doesn’t need Benny the same way she used to anymore. The two have to work together to figure out how they can both get what they want and in the end, Maya was able to write a story with all of their adventures together and share it with many other kids, so that Benny was able to live on and help other children who may need a friend in their lives.
