Hey, JV team! This story is so unique and charming - it has been since the beginning. It was one of the stories I showed my husband on week three because I was so intrigued. :) It's been so cool to see it develop and grow. Your art style is very distinct and enjoyable, too! I loved seeing Aban and his friends interact more in this version - it makes the ending that much sweeter having the dialogue between all of them. Great work!

What a creative piece! It's a clever idea and interesting to see that bear wanting to do something that's unnatural for these animals. And he did learn from it.
I can definitely see that as a Disney animation piece.

"Borealis" is a wonderful story for me. I like the drawings, and their moral teaches us to look for the best solutions to solve problems. Sounds are not necessary, because with the drawings the story is understood, and it is a tribute to the stories of "Winnie The Pooh" and the story of friendship. and above all with three characters you have made a great story. I'm looking forward to seeing the short film made.

I really enjoyed this story - it is such a fun, unique concept. The improvements you made over the weeks really helped to enhance and improve the story. I really like Aban's expressions when he first finds the coffee - they are very fun and so emotive. The background music that you chose fits the story really well. I am missing the dialogue but appreciate and respect that some of those elements take time to develop and really hone in on that craft. Additionally, while I tend to like a lot of color, your use of color when you did use was very impactful and helped to really tell the story. Fantastic job!

I absolutely LOVE this story! Your drawings are so charming and cute, I could really feel the substance and emotions of the characters! Your story was easy to follow along with and you really made me care for your characters. I was smiling most of the time and couldn't help letting out an "awwww" at the end - I even got goosebumps! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Really nice work! I really like the drawings, it reminds me the old time storyboards (it gives a nice look to it). And the music really helps the narrative and mood of the scenes. :)

I think you made an absolutely beautiful story! There was an abundant amount of emotion and expression in each storyboard, and I loved all of the details! I felt that the ending wrapped the story up really nicely (SO heartwarming). I have no suggestions and nothing was unclear, it is amazing :-)! Lol, I love the part with the barista, his expression is perfect!

Superb! I love these characters and was really invested in seeing Amid see the lights. A nice clear arc full of "and thens" and "buts".

BOREALIS - Final Cut

A bear wants avoid hibernating this year to explore the wonders of winters with his friends.

There's no voice or SFX (sorry, just didn't have the time nor skill for what I wanted to do for the voices) but I put subtitles/notes for SFX, and music at least.

Thank you everyone who gave me feedback on this project over the past 8 weeks :)
