Tristen, a struggling artist, is the protagonist of this story. Tristen comes upon several frozen creatures. This new fuel called "Ice Oil" has frozen these animals. This ice oil is causing environmental damage by freezing the land, animals, and people. Tristen has no idea how much damage the ice oil is doing. His first instinct is to start taking pictures of these frozen creatures. His photography brings him recognition and money. As the Earth is slowly destroyed by the ice oil, he must choose between fame and fortune or his friend.
