Great story and great visuals! I love it! The friendship that is growing between the captain and the child is very good. And the lesson of giving back to mother nature what is hers. The real treasure are the protagonists. I would love to see the full short film. Good luck!

Good imagery. Everybody loves a good pirate story. I do. Narration would make this storyreel 1000% better. Even English that is not so good in this case, because they are pirates. They had their own way of speaking. "Shiver me timbers"! Arrrgh! "To theCrow's Nest ya scallywag!" The sound effects add to the story, but doesn't explain things like the relationship of the Pirate Captain to the young pirate and his mom. Or of all the pirates in all the world, no other pirate had found the Jewel of the Sea except for the newcomer. Good story, keep up the good work.

WOW! Really loved your story and animation. The visuals told the story so well and the sound added just the right touches. The seamlessness of your pans and body transitions were amazing. Fantastic job!
What program did you use to put this reel together?

Great programs! Thanks for letting me know. I'm still new to both and have trouble getting the smooth panning like you achieved, but I will keep working at it!

I think that your story is so outstanding! The word that comes to mind is magical, the overall mood throughout the story was exciting and adventurous. I think the pacing, camera angles, sound effects, music, and the editing were all done very well (and the characters' actions and movements were able to carry the storyline perfectly). I have no suggestions and nothing was unclear to me! I loved the part when the ocean takes back the gemstone, the illuminating color of the ocean was beautiful! Overall, I think you did a fantastic job and I enjoyed every minute of your story :-)!

Excellent! Riveting! Just seems to me, that needed to be added more sound or music to increase the intensity of the story.
Good luck with your future projects!

A Pirate's Treasure

The final cut, now with added sound

This is where the special thanks would go!  I’m assuming they will be a little longer this week, therefore, I designed extra space for them. If there is far more description and special thanks then there is space, this entire box becomes scrollable.
