Week 2 | Due Sunday, March 20

Your job for this week is to create a character profile for the character you want to develop your story around.

Check out some past Week 2 submissions:

Each team should upload one Week 2 deliverable below.

Only one individual from each team needs to do this upload.

Be sure to include a thumbnail image for your video so that it looks great in the gallery.

Still need to add a video for Week 1? Please visit the Week 1 page and upload it there.

Kickoff

These exercises are designed to help you succeed with your weekly deliverable.

Now it’s time to create your character profile to submit for Week 2.

Exercise 1: Internal vs. External Features (30min)

Part A: Identify some internal and external features of someone you know.

Part B: Now, come up with 3 internal and external features for a character you're interested in developing.

Here are things to think about:

External features:

  • How do they carry themself?

  • How do they move?

  • What's the first thing you'd notice about them from afar?

Internal features:

  • What do they enjoy?

  • What do they fear?

  • How do they handle adversity?

  • What might they need to learn?

Exercise 3: Obstacles (30min)

  • What might they want at the beginning?

  • What might they realize they need at the end?

  • What they want most is: ______
